The Central North Island Kindergarten Trust offers professional development courses during the first, second and third term breaks.  Courses are free for employees of the Central North Island Kindergarten Trust.

Bring your ukulele and tuner (if you have one).  For those who do not have a ukulele in their centre, maybe others could bring theirs, well named though!

 Male teachers – what are they good for?  Absolutely nothing?

This is an interactive presentation that gets participants to view and critique 3 scenarios.  A male panel of early childhood presenters will then guide a discussion that encourages the participant to consider life with and without male teachers, and the impact it has on the environment and the teaching practice of the team.  Gather ideas about male teaching approaches and consider evolving a programme that incorporates for male friendly lenses to practice.
